We believe that flowers are more than something to admire—they carry with them the ability to heal, uplift, and bring people together. Mental health is at the heart of everything we do, and it’s our belief that through connecting with nature, we can nurture ourselves and each other.

By choosing to be a part of our farm, you’re not just receiving beautiful blooms—you’re supporting a local movement that values mental wellness, sustainability, and the simple joys of life.

Through our experience van, our classes and workshops, our harvest hub and our online community, we’re committed to creating something new. We want to be a provider you can trust, we want to help you connect to your sources of joy.

At our core, what we’re doing here is an experiment. Can we come together, based on shared interests and direct connections? Can we foster a colorful, supportive community, where farmers and members alike build something meaningful? Can we survive and thrive in a post-COVID world that values convenience, without losing the connections we depend on? Can a minority-owned, LGBT farm with traditional values succeed in an area where people might not think it’s possible?

Yes.

Yes, we can.

And with your support, we can do all of this—and so much more.

Our journey at Three Dudes Farm is one of constant growth, driven by a desire to create more than just a flower farm.

We aim to cultivate a place where beauty, wellness, and community come together in harmony.

We're really excited you are here.

A Letter From Brett

Hello! My name is Brett, the head farmer here at Three Dudes Farm. My husband Ryan and I left our city life behind in 2014 to head to acreage in Montgomery because, in all honesty, we had amassed too many rescue dogs and cats to legally live within the city limits. We packed up our belongings and left our marketing and publishing jobs behind to head to the country with all of our four-legged family—that now included a few rescue horses, too. Through the years we have created quite a band of merry misfits that includes rescue sheep, goats, chickens, and more. In 2017, Two Dudes Farm became Three Dudes Farm when our son was born.

Arriving in Montgomery, we were essentially clueless about farming, but that didn't deter us. Our journey has been a rollercoaster of highs, lows, and unexpected twists—typical farm life. While our previous lives involved black-tie galas and marketing gigs, you're more likely to find me clad in insulated overalls while breaking ice in water troughs during winter, or in well-worn Dickies and trusty Crocs, tending to the gardens all summer.

Even amidst the vibrancy of our beautiful farm life, I have faced personal challenges with my own mental health. Loss on the farm can be extensive at times, and I have a deep desire to control things that I cannot.

I share this because it's both important to normalize discussions of mental health, but also to tell you it was gardening that started to lift my spirits.

Connecting with the earth is grounding and flowers are healing.

Being surrounded by pollinators and the beauty of the natural world outdoors became a source of pure happiness for me. I feel incredibly fortunate to be immersed in this extraordinary beauty, and I'm thrilled to share the joy of our farm with you. This responsibility is one I hold dear because, to me, I'm more than just a flower farmer.

To share the joy of our farm, I've become a soil doctor and plant physician, a devoted supporter of pollinators, a passionate conservationist, and an advocate for heirloom varieties. But above all, I am a steward. A steward of the land and the animals we care for, a guardian of thousands of blossoming plants that, in turn, nourish hundreds of thousands of vital organisms in our ecosystem.

Our farm is built with heart in every inch of soil.

It's my duty to infuse life into these blooms, so they carry the spirit of the countryside and our farm into your home. This isn't just about farming; it's about a full life. Our son and our pets romp through the fields while we plant, tend, and harvest. Friends join us for fellowship, sharing stories, and bonding over the joy of life as we pluck blooms by hand.

Farming is a connection that extends beyond petals and leaves; it's the heartbeat of the land and the embrace of nature. I hope that through our unique perspective we can help you connect to more sources of joy. Our farm and our programs are here to provide you with the inspiration you need  to take a break and slow down, to check in on yourself and others, and to thrive right where you are in life.

Before I leave you to explore the rest of our website, I want to thank you for being here. There is a profound impact on my family, on our farm and it's passionate employees, on our local community and on first generation farming within every connection we make.

We're happy to have you along on this exciting journey.

Forever and Always,

Brett
